Course admission numbers and JAE ELR2B2 scores (ELR2B2 refers to the total score of English plus 2 relevant subjects and another 2 best subjects). This reference information is the planned admissions for various polytechnic courses in 2019/2020. These figures include students who will be admitted through various admissions schemes conducted jointly or independently by the polytechnics. In order to be eligible for consideration for admission to various courses in Singapore Polytechnics, applicants must obtain a net ELR2B2 score of 26 points or above and meet the minimum entry requirements. The 2019 JAE ELR2B2 for reference list shows the net ELR2B2 total scores of the lowest and highest ranked students admitted to these courses through the 2019 Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) (for Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level qualifications). These total scores are for reference only for applicants applying for the corresponding majors or courses.
The O-level exam results are scored in the following way: the lower the total score, the better the score - that is, the best score for a single subject is 1 point, and the best score for the total score of five subjects is 5 points. For international students studying in non-Singapore government secondary schools, they apply based on the DAE standard, which is generally more stringent than the JAE joint admissions program. Generally, the total score of the five subjects is within 18 points. The specific scoring criteria are as follows:
O-level examination results: The full score of each subject is 100 points, and the grades are divided according to the examination results. From high to low, they are A1, A2, B3, B4, C5, C6, D7, E8, F9;
Above 75 points: A1; 74-70 points: A2; 69-65 points: B3; 64-60 points: B4; 59-55 points: C5; 54-50 points: C6; 49-45 points: D7; 44-40 points: E8; below 39 points: F9.
